CPH Jewellery & Watch Show 2014

Sunday I was at the Copenhagen Jewellery & Wacth Show 2014 with my very close friend Benedikte, who is a goldsmith’s apprentice at Ole Lynggaard.

One brand I really liked was Zero6 with their cool bangles in stingray. Their style is with an edgy rock’n’roll vibe, but still elegant because of the materials. Would work with everything in my wardrobe!

I tried the black one on my wrist. It is black stingray and black onyx..OOOHHH MY it wasn’t easy to take it off and leave it behind.

But I also noticed Tine Lindhard’s Pomander Silver Pendant in silver with at 18 kt. setting and 0.04 ct. twvvs brilliant cut diamond.

She tell us the following story at her website:

“Many decades ago, pendants were worn as decorative objects for the purpose of being a personal adornment and a way of expressing personal preference by form, material and decoration. In ancient times, pendants had several functions: Ornamentation, identification, protection (religious symbols), awards and, last but not least, a way of expressing the owner’s wealth and status. Some women also wore a pendant known as a pomander. A pomander is a pendant with a container for herbs, smelling salts or aromatic vinegar, and it was used for modifying bad smells. My pendant continues this tradition by combining simple ornamentation with the function of emitting a scent. I like the idea of capturing a scent within the pendant, which slowly and gently releases a fragrance.”

I like the combination of history in the pendant and the fact that it’s the perfect solution for people with perfume allergies.

My beautiful and talented goldsmith to be friend Benedikte in a serious moment deciding on some gemstones. Of course most of her jewellery is from Ole Lynggaard.
